treadmill 26:43 [3] 3.0 mi (8:54 / mi)
shoes: pegasus 4

Seemed like I was breathing harder than I expected. Didn't remember until after I was done that we're at 4,800', which for me is enough to make a difference.

Been having sciatic issues the last three or four days, woke me up a bunch of times for a couple of nights, but last night was much better. So maybe it is on the way out.

And still dealing with the remnants of various cacti from last weekend that seem to be embedded. One little spine seemed to be digging into the nerve on top of my bionic big toe, got about 10' down the hall to breakfast before I couldn't take the pain anymore. Limped back to the room where a tape job from Gail and different shoes got me going again.

Just more things falling apart. But so far none have been terminal. :-)

Otherwise, our exploration of the Gadsden Purchse, more or less -- SE Arizona, southern New Mexico and even a bit of Texas -- has been quite fine, though it is also almost over. Doing our best to avoid winter, and the little we've run into hasn't lasted too long or been too hard to take. The plan was that all the snow would be gone by the time we got home, but I gather that may not be the case.

Note

So the final ranking was --

1. Whitewater Draw (wonderful despite the wind)
2. San Pedro House (pretty good, but the wind...)
3. Ash Canyon B&B (virtually worthless)
4. Sierra Vista Wastewater Treatment Plant (worthless)
