First time running outside for a long time, and also first time running up a hill for a long time. Not very energetic but got it done. Back roads in Montague.

Back and sciatica still not good, but saw the doc this morning and she said exercise was fine as long as it didn't hurt. And running and walking don't hurt.

Meanwhile, the excess weight is starting to come off. The hard part (shrinking the stomach) is done.

What's all this white stuff?

Sciatic has changed course, thought it was disappearing, but back in spades. First part of the first flight today (Albuquerque to Dallas) was miserable, rest of it and then up to Hartford at least tolerable. Need to get it figured out.

A very nice trip. Went a bunch of places in New Mexico we hadn't been, lots of parks and wildlife refuges, enough golf to keep me happy. Weather was OK, often (very) windy, sometimes cold, but a whole lot better than home and nothing we couldn't deal with. Would have been happy to do more running, maybe a decent hike, but that wasn't to be. Still, a good time and some very good memories.
