At the indoor track, warming up plus a few strides. Felt OK.

Wanted a modest workout, so figured a few quarters with a little more rest between (3-minute cycle) so hopefully fresher for each. Did 5 (1:47, 1:44, 1:44, 1:40, 1:42) but the legs were still getting tired and that seemed enough.
But then I thought I'd do a couple of 200s, that would be easier. And just before the end of the first one something went bad in the vicinity of the top of the right hamstring, and that was the end of that.

Walked around a little, ran a couple of very slow laps, didn't feel awful, at least I could run, but didn't see as how any more was going to help with whatever damage had been done.
I'd been trying to be careful, pay attention to any warning signs, and there had been none. So, I guess the lesson is, if I do run again, no trying to run fast is added to the list of things not to do.
