Short ride in the late afternoon. All the snow was gone, but could see a few places where trees had come down and been cleaned up. Still very windy. Don't know how long I'll keep up the riding, but not putting the bike away yet. Still got 80 miles to go to hit 3K for the year, shouldn't be hard, but the next (serious) round number after that ain't going to happen.

Just a short ride to see how it felt going up South Sugarloaf. And, as usual, it didn't feel too good, 9:42. Don't think it ever does. The gate was closed, so all the way down I was reminding myself of that, did the last little bit through the woods.

Cold and windy again. But in a month a two, a day like today will seem balmy. Bought some warmer gloves. But decided it was too warm today to break them out.

Whately - South Deerfield. Getting a little cooler out, mid-40s and very windy again out of the NW. Time for another clothing test. Verdict -- need to get better gloves, my "warmer" ones were barely enough today, fingers getting cold by the end. Otherwise not bad, though feet might need an extra layer too when it gets a little colder. Body and head was about right, 4 shirts, tights, balaclava.
