Gail was interested in having some company and that seemed like a fine option, so off we went. North along the river. Bit of a headwind on the way out, bit of help on the way back. And it was on the warm side.

Pace suited me just right. :-)

With Walter and Gail, a trio of OFs with knees and backs and whatever else, none of which work like they used to. But still able to get out and do a few miles. Especially nice to have Gail along. Since she sped up, I have to put out a decent effort just to keep up.

Introduced her to the up on Randall Road, which she handled with no difficulty. South Sugarloaf next? Though it's not clear what her knees can tolerate. Supposed to be smart about these things.

Montague Center. Out along the river, back through the little hills. Survived.

Maybe I'm at the point where the backs hurts a little, won't get completely better, won't get seriously worse. Unless I do something stupid. Or get unlucky. Both of which are always possible.

Took it easy heading out, bit of a tailwind and the back was a little cranky. Worked a good bit harder coming back. Feeling my age....
