Seems like I will be going to the Billygoat tomorrow!
Well, not to run (or walk). Seems I have volunteered for child-care duties (Inara) and hound-care duties (Barney). My guess is that if I screw one of them up, it would probably be better, or less bad, to have it be the latter. Sorry, Barney.

Beautiful afternoon, bright sun, upper 60s, breezy from the NW at 10 or so. Nice ride around the valley. Though perhaps I should have rested up in anticipation of tomorrow's Billygoat.

Late afternoon, about 70, N 10+. An easy ride up the river a bit, and then back. Roughly the same effort all the time. A lot faster on the way back south.

A nice day for a change. Since such things have been rare recently, and since therefore I once again am well rested, something more than a Valerie seemed in order. And so it was. Almost a triple-V, but when the driveway came at 29+, that seemed like enough.
Decent effort all the way.
And on my morning walk at one point I climbed a steep little embankment and didn't even feel exhausted at the top, nor have to stop several times along the way. Whatever post-trip fatigue I've had seems to have mostly departed. I'm not complaining.
