Old Albany Road to intersection with South Shelburne Road.
The highlight, obviously, was the great frog hunt, which was both unsuccessful in that we never actually found the frog, despite my confidence that I had located it carefully camouflaged in the mud. Gail was quite certain that all I had found was mud, and when I poked the area with a stick it seemed she was right. :-(
But also successful! Identified the critter as an
Eastern Gray Treefrog by its voice. Took a recording on my phone. Once back home, it didn't take long to figure out what it was as there are only 12 species of frog in the northeast. If I could figure out how to post my recording here I would, but that (like many things) seems beyond my ability.
Exciting, right? Actually in the world of COVID-19, it rates as really exciting. :-)
