Note

In Austin to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of my brother and Donna. Turned out to be really fun, enough friends of his that I knew and lots of good conversations. He wore the same suit he got married in, still fit pretty well. I gave a toast, a fair bit of anxiety beforehand, but I figured out what I wanted to say, and was pleased with how it went. Charlie would probably have done it Italian, but English was certainly enough of a challenge for me. About 40 people there, really nice evening.

Really hot, someplace in the 90s. Walked maybe 5 miles, but all slowly.

On my own. Mostly flat, bit of a breeze from the south but not much. Just tried to keep up a steady effort. Across the river, back roads into Hatfield including half a mile of sketchy dirt, then on route 5 for a while coming north (it has a nice shoulder). OK.
