Ski Mountainering warm up/down 1:42:21 [1] 7.55 km (13:33 / km) +635m 9:33 / km

Up to the top of the slopes, down to Les Plans. Intervals between Les Plans and a bit below Le Poraire, then cooldown to Poraire, down to Chindonne. I planned on going back up to Valerette, but I started feeling blisters on my feet, so I stopped at the top of the slopes and skied downhill in one go. My quads are going slightly better!

Longjog with a small part of the running group. Given my need for warming-up my small little heart, I decided to head up the funi (400D+) and then back down, stopped home to grab a farmer and drink a bit, then left to join the others at the train station. We did a loop I already did twice, except there was a large amount of snow on the downhill! We ended up running in 40cm of fresh snow without tracks, which was a great feeling. Also, we met a guy who put his car in the ditch and tried helping him, but it didn't work. In the end I can only hope the snowplow pulled him out!

Running long 2:30:00 [2] 21.9 km (6:51 / km) +871m 5:43 / km
shoes: Inov-8 X-Talon 190

Longjog with two runners from the running group. Second training outside of the scheduled trainings with people from the group, and second bad experience due to them being too fast for me... It was supposed to be an extensive jog, but they started off pretty fast on the steep uphill - beat my CR on the first part... - and I tried following them, which - of course - was a bad idea. Long story short, I think it's safe to assume my heart did its thing and the second part of the uphill to the station was crappy.

The uphill from the station to the top went slightly better, we walked from time to time. Once we reached the top, I felt better and could lead the group on the slippery downhill. It was pretty chilly, and I was glad I'd taken an anorak with me as well as ran in a group. I took some food and water with me, but I only drank a little and never ate. The pouring rain stopped on the last part of the downhill, which was much appreciated!

2x12'. I've never felt so bad during an interval session! I couldn't push myself, had no strength in the legs. Still a long way to go to reach my goals for this year!

Running 18:30 [5] 3.6 km (5:08 / km)

2x8x30" with 2'30" rest. The two runners I was with were clearly better than me, pacing the warm-up a bit too high, and did the 30" break a bit too fast, so I let them run in front of me during the intervals and tried to go my own rythm.

23 weeks to go :)

Running in the rain while trying to find a spot for uphill intervals that isn't a vertical kilometer at the same time... Turns out the main road ain't got no sidewalk. So that's that... I hoped there would be a nice flat-ish road leading to the summit, but it is somewhat lacking a sidewalk, and running on the road with cars driving next to me isn't something I plan on doing...
