Orienteering race 1:25:10 [4] ** 9.1 km (9:22 / km) +260m 8:11 / km

Course du CA Rosé. The first 20 controls went pretty well, only made a few small mistakes (<20 seconds). Another runner from the club, though not in the same category, was behind me at the 23rd control and followed for the five next controls. I think I got sort of pissed because of that, ended up screwing the 28th control - 1'30'' mistake. I tried to focus again, which worked until I left the track to take the 29th control. I didn't unterstand the area really well - perfectly runnable area marked as green - and searched before I should have, amidst 6 other runners (lost around 1'). I made another mistake on the 30th control, started searching in the brambles area next to the control, turned and saw it. Again, lost 30" on this control.

First part, 27 controls, 1' mistake.
Second part, 4 controls, 3' mistake...

Came home at seven after a day of coding, decided to go for a run. Ran uphill till the top of Serroue, which I reached in ~20', new best time :) I proceeded west to the field and then ran straight down.

This was my second run with the new shoes, I must say I didn't feel any pain neither in the left nor in the right ankle, which is something I haven't had during an uphill jog for a long while. Hopefully it will stay like this!

Club training in Pouillerel, "lignes directrices". The training was rather easy and I ran a clean race, losing maybe 30" on the whole training. The training was a mix from corridor orienteering and usual controls, with a path/track/road-less map. The idea was interesting, but, sadly, there were almost always tracks leading to or close to the control, which meant you had to really run compass in the green to avoid the track (although it's 50m from you and leads to the control...). At least the map is really good and it's almost impossible to get lost. Maybe they should have taken out some (A LOT) of objects to really do a "lignes directrices" training.

No idea of the actual time of training, both Philipp and I ran without a watch. I started 1' after him and we finished together, so whatever time he wrote in his log, I must be a few seconds faster.
