Brienz - Planalp - Augstmatthorn - Harder Kulm. The original idea was go to to Grindewald with The Girl, and then for me to run up to First while she takes her cruxes and injured foot up with the gondolbahn. A last minute change took us to Brienz. I though that running up to the ridge and then to Harder Kulm would be 20km and way less denivelation - OH BOY WAS I WRONG! I started probably too fast, reached Planalp (+800m) after about one hour. From there, I went slightly uphill and sometimes flat-ish downhill. Ended up above Oberried with no path the ridge, with +1200m in the legs, feeling *slightly* tired. In full control *cough*, I decided to climb up the ridge through the fields - 60cm of alpine fields, mind you - which took its faire share of time.
Once on the ridge, I walked up the Riedergrat and prepared for the next climb up the Augstmatthorn. There, I met two fine gentlement that didn't know Ueli Steck, but started their climb from his home. The way back to Harder Kulm was tough. At that point, I had drunk 4.5L of water but this was not enough, and by far, my Camelbag was almost empty, I finished my fifth and last cereal bar on the summit. The last hour was kind of painful, but I rushed to board the funi, sweated on the poor lady beside me and met The Girl back in Interlaken.
FUN STUFF. Probably shouldn't have done it, though
