Went to Verbier to see Florence and Pascal at the world championships. It was AMAZING, Flo was 3rd!

Ski Mountainering warm up/down 1:01:00 [3] +740m

Went up Valerette, not sure it should really count as a warm up, the tempo was already high (for me). I guess being in less than 25' at Chindonne was a new best time for me :) Too bad I couldn't go sub-one hour to the summit. Let's blame it on me meeting first my mom and then my dad :D

Ski Mountainering intervals 40:00 [5] +488m

10x3' with 1' pause. This time it went WAAAAAAAY better, the main reason being I DIDN'T HAVE TO GO UP A BLACK SLOPE. Anywho, it was fun to start in the papette (just learned this slang word for fog/mist today, thank you Ms. bus driver) and slowly reach a clear blue sky.

Ski Mountainering 25:00 [1] +252m

Took it really easy to the summit, an old guy I'd met on the first uphill told me "Oh you're only hear now? Did you go pick-nick on the other summit or what?". He offered me a glass of red wine while contemplating the alps and telling me about his life, but I denied the wine offer but listened to him anyway. The downhill was fun and somehow in good conditions, but it was though!

XC-Skiing 2:02:57 [3] 15.71 km (7:50 / km)

Again, a LOT of snow. Didn't sleep long and took the bus at 8 a.m. to go to les Ponts-de-Martel. The bus was late, and the tracks were covered with 30cm of fresh POW POW POW. Were I doing a ski tour, that would have been good news. Having only XC-skis on my feet meant it would be a long morning. Started with easy strides (pas de Dame) in the deep snow, got pissed after 1km and decided to head for La Tourne - the tracks were being made when I passed with the bus. Once I *almost* reached the road, I saw the snowmachine grooming the tracks, so I went back and skiied to La Sagne.

It took me 50' to do 3.8km and 1h12 for the 11.9 other kilometers, feeling exhausting and facing a front wind - Marc, if you read this, you were absolutely right, the wind goes from Les Ponts de Martel to La Sagne. Skiied back to Les Ponts and kept going so as to not freeze to death at the bus stop, took the bus home and ate Läkerlis :) Today was a good day
