running intervals (8 x 200 ) 6:53 [3] 1.0 mi (6:53 / mi)
shoes: New Balance Trail
I did trot and walk between but not counting it like on the 4x100.
My left hip has been trying to get sore. It was almost gone and today it really tightened up after the 200's. Ice, heat, etc
1. 55.19 (I could barely go almost more of a warmup)
2. 52.87
3. 52.87 (Yes I am a machine and yet I did clear my watch)
4. 52.01
5. 51.15
6. 50.23
7. 49.6
8. 48.59
At least I kept getting faster. All the speed I do is incredibly slow but if I can stay healthy I believe next spring I can be running much quicker...which would still be slow but at least quicker.
The 200's were a nice break between super slow 400's and 100's that I do not know the time as I just let the watch run the whole 1600. And lately I do not seem to gain any speed from the 100's like I did last fall but that cannot be true forever I'm still running 100 meters in the low 6 min pace and that is way faster than my normal pace.
In the past it was my right hip that got like this and at one point I thought it might not get better so that gives me hope. I'll ice this, heat it and gulp ibuprofen and turmeric which is herbal anti inflammatory among other miraculous claims. Psychologically I benefit if nothing else.
