walk jog (On OC Track 10k) 1:18:27  6.2 mi (12:39 / mi)
Decided to test things...walk jog...shooting for under 14 pace. At first only 10 to 20 strides at a time before walking again...got up to about 100 but around lap 19 finally felt some stiffness in hip and ham but not bad...just did not know if lap by lap it was going to increase exponentially or not...it didn't and I also cut lap by lap to 80 then 70 then 60 strides...although I did 'run' the last lap without stopping...or kicking in either just even pace.
It was humid, warm and moderately windy but at that slow pace it did not affect me...if I had been running fast that combination would have killed me. Not stiff now but will see how things go...short term plan is for 1 to 2 weeks of walk/jog Tues, Th and Sunday and walk only the other 4 days...it is a fluid plan subject to chance daily of course.
Approaching 50 miles of on my feet walk, golf/walk and walk/jog.
Temp is 88 with heat index 96...lost a lot of the summer heat tuffness so trying to run a fast time trial would have been murder. It wasn't that hot when I started but index must have been high 80's at least.
