Walk (cloudy cool very windy) 55:56 [3] 3.5 mi (15:59 / mi)

Tired and even dizzy with low blood sugar...cut back from 4 to 3.5...no need to do more when this tired. Still have to golf in this wind.

running (gritted teeth whole way) 45:21 [3] 4.5 mi (10:05 / mi)
shoes: New Balance Trail

Bright sunny and very very light wind that still slowed me down since I'm so weak. Feel strain on left side of chest last month...when pushing running...I really don't know how to describe it...I feel tired and weary, but I have really trained a lot more since I retired Aug 31st...starting to see a little improvement at times...got to keep up those 100's at the track and the time trial 5k's and 10ks.

Hopefully come spring I'll have some pep in my stride again

Lots of moisture in the air, putting a chill in my bones...semi rest day.

Strides (8 x 100 strides) 9:53 [3] 1.0 mi (9:53 / mi)
shoes: New Balance 880 WB 4

Cold. About 43 with moderate north wind and lots of moisture in air...all bundled up. 3 middle aged geezers were out walking and or jogging in shorts and hoodies...no matter what they say I know they were freezing their lair butts off.

shuffle jog (no power at all) 1:33:07 [3] 8.0 mi (11:38 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Clifton 2

In 60's, able to have light sooner, but still had 30 minutes in dark...was at barely under 13 min pace at 2.5...at 4 I turned and had wind mostly at back rest of way...3 of 4 miles...but after a 5 min half mile I slowed again and never felt good after 4.5 miles...at 7.5 a younger and much heavier jogger turned corner on the opposite side of the street as I did and I really was afraid he would out run me due to age, but I disgustingly took off and left him...ran last mile about 9:50 or so...not good for a kick in mile...I need to keep doing everything for 2 more months to get close to where I was last spring when I stupidly decided to up miles for a month on Sundays...I immediately slowed down and never got my speed back....partly due to strains, pains and heat but I truly believed those 4 weeks of 10 11 11 and 12 I believe would kick in eventually and they didn't.

I need to just get faster at what I'm doing now...ironically I could probably have shaved a minute or two easily off this run...if I had done at least half of it walk/jog...
