One of the running news emails I get had a good article on Camille Herron of Norman, Ok. Told Chrissy about it and she looked her up and read for 30 minutes all kinds of tidbits...incredible times...a running machine...she's scientific about how to train her own body and has a good runner and coach for a husband Conner Holt who has the Okie Memorial Marathon record of 2:22. He was quite a runner himself.

Doing all kinds of hamstring and hip stuff...trying to build up core...that Camille did heavy weights for upper body strength only and that really helped her improve.

I noticed when I worked at lumberyard and did all kinds of manual labor and lifting I ran super fast even though just running a hour in morning before work...

Super windy again, but warmer than normal for this type of year...I could use cooler and less windy like yesterday...nice temp does you no good in 30 mph wind.

walk jog (cool but no wind) 1:30:54 [3] 8.0 mi (11:22 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Clifton 2

Started out to do 7. Stuck to plan to do walk/jog. At about 2.5 I started thinking about adding a mile. I was about 2 min faster at 4 miles than I was last week when I did not start walking until about the 4.5 mark or so...

49:05 first 4
41:49 2nd 4

I started holding my breath for 3 or 4 strides about 1.25. Would take 3 or 4 deep breaths and do it again...then wait awhile before doing same 2 rep set. Held breath up to 7 or 8 steps sometimes. It seemed to help me get in a rhythm and also to take in more air or use it better...whatever another wild theory.
