My left calf got sore for first time nearly 2 months ago...but never enough to be more than an annoyance...in fact the worst it had been until today was that first Sunday when out of the blue instead of right calf that I hurt so bad last Oct 2016 my left calf felt on verge of a cramp that would not go away and yet I could mostly run on it.

Many days did not feel it..today I was able to run on but for first time really started getting sore...not a pull or strained feeling just something short of hurting but bothersome while playing golf after my run.

I'll have to walk only for a week or so...not sure exactly how long yet.

I started out with intentions of walking more and taking about 50+ min but just went with the flow.

Note I am doing hour plus to nearly 2 hours of hip, knee, hamstring stuff lately just taking stuff off google and doing a little of each...my left calf continues to have the weird tightness that is on verge of a cramp from time to time...keep trying to stretch and I put hot stuff on it before I go running and for most part it is not bothersome, but today last 1.5 it felt a little more like it might cramp...probably due to cold...

windy...high 60's but did not feel like it until I ran...decided to do a warmup today...walk/jogged...

again...I have added about 10 yards to each mile so that a 2 mile is 2 mile not 3200 and mile is not actually 1600 not much difference and I resisted doing this until about 6 months ago...

Had delusions of doing a 5k, but the wind was too strong and I still felt a little weak from the 8 mile Sunday so decided to go for a 2 mile again...was going to walk jog first 3/4th of mile like the other times, but I started out trotting along and decided to just go slow and speed up as I could in the wind.

2:36 1st lap slowest by far
2:04 last lap fastest by far

9:40 1st mile
8:48 2nd mile that was good in this wind.

I thought I was going faster first half but at 4 I was a min slower??? Anyway I stopped and walked usually about 15 to 17 steps...held breath and did breath blow outs....kinda pooped out by 5.5 but managed to speed up a little.

Looked and I was right...ran only 15 seconds slower 2nd half this week so basically the same pace...

A good workout...
