walk trot (very cold north wind) 1:06:51 [3] 4.25 mi (15:44 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Ghost 9

My left calf kept tweaking...its weird because it is not really pulled or strained as far as I can tell...anyway I thought about when I had my right calf super bad pull and how after two weeks I by divine intervention thought about heel lifts...they instantly took 90% of the strain off my calf and I was able to walk further and faster right away.

I was on 4 mile loop...cut home on 3.4 m loop...put the heel lifts in and decided to go for .6...halfway I decided to go for .75 as calf felt fine. So ended up with 4.25

walk trot (sunny n cool) 1:04:08 [3] 4.05 mi (15:50 / mi)
shoes: LunarGlide8

Left calf a little tweaky, but walking is not making it worse...even on Google see where walking and getting blood pumping through calf...still not exactly sure what this tweaky crampy condition is all about. I ran through it several times since it first showed up and it seemed fine...until Sat...

golf (walk Guthrie/Aqua Canyon) 10:00 [3] 4.0 mi (2:30 / mi)
shoes: Foot joy Leisure Golf

Hilly course very very very windy...left calf started bothering me last 45 minutes or so. It is ok again. I feel it must be a very deep strain...I wished it had done this a month or more ago so I could already be healed up and back to shuffle jogging again. Just going to walk and even that will be slower and less as per Google info this can drag on...I guess December is a good month to be down....
2 PM

walk trot (wind shifted to north) 50:56 [3] 3.2 mi (15:55 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Infinite

Wind was blowing like hurricane during golf...but out of south...shifted to north not cold yet but you could feel it was going to cool off and not as hard...I'll just have to walk along until calf heals up...time period unknown...guessing no less than a week...

walk trot (nice morning all dark) 49:17 [3] 3.0 mi (16:26 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Clifton 2

Left calf has deep soreness in it...will walk less and slower for now and rehab as I see fit. No jumping or stretching of left calf. Will start back slow walk/jog and be cautious about non-stop runs.

This is just part of my fitness life now...I still think wistfully of the shape and condition I am in now...just on verge of being able to get back to where I was at beginning of summer before the humidity set in then and the left hip acted up as I retired.

Never dreamed that Sunday morning when my left calf felt crampy that it would linger on like this and it was so subtle...I wished it had gotten as sore as yesterday and shut me down...I would already be healed and back at it.
