Saturday Feb 3 #

8 AM

golf (Kickingbird ) 10:00 [3] 4.0 mi (2:30 / mi)
shoes: Sketcher Golf

1 PM

Walk (much nicer by 1pm) 54:38 [3] 3.5 mi (15:37 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Infinite

Cold and windy during a lot of the golf...much nicer in the afternoon.

Friday Feb 2 #

11 AM

walk trot (rest day hold back) 47:44 [3] 4.0 mi (11:56 / mi)
shoes: Enhance Waterpruf Trainer

This was a good easy day...got in a workout but did not overdo it either.

Thursday Feb 1 #

12 PM

shuffle jog (OC Trail 2.5 mile loops) 50:39 [3] 5.0 mi (10:08 / mi)
shoes: New Balance 880 WB 4

The wind was a lot harder out of the north than I expected but I actually ran faster than I expected...of course when my right knee starts feeling better then my left knee tweaks a little...no big deal and it went away...just a gremlin playing with my mind.

Wednesday Jan 31 #

8 AM

walk trot (warmer but breezy) 43:08 [3] 4.0 mi (10:47 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Infinite

Actually liked the feel of the Hoka Infinite today. Felt much better. Slept like a rock except for pee breaks...the flu is starting to hit the rest of OC's BB team now and one guy has a concussion so James may get more playing time tomorrow down in Austin.

The flu is horrible this year. I took pure vitamin C, ate soup and drank tea with lemon juice, honey, cinnamon, etc...some sort of health tea I got for Chrissy. I felt much better and my sinus's did not clog up.

It is breezy but will die down. Supposedly Chrissy and I will play golf together this afternoon. She has rejected playing with me for years...past ten years probably have not played 10 times together and missed years at a time. It is supposed to be 70 and the wind will drop down to 10mph or even less.

1 PM

golf (Lincoln East) 10:00 [3] 4.0 mi (2:30 / mi)
shoes: Sketcher Golf

Played with Chrissy...a rarity.

Tuesday Jan 30 #

10 AM

walk trot (sunny breezy guts guts) 43:58 [3] 4.0 mi (11:00 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Ghost 9

It was cold with the wind chill when I started but it was warming up fast so 1.5 was a little overdressed...still not feeling full power and the extra layers felt like dead weight more than they should have...straight into wind for a mile...26 mph so pretty tough since I was not feeling extra peppy.

Monday Jan 29 #

11 AM

Walk (chilly and sunny) 59:55 [3] 3.8 mi (15:46 / mi)
shoes: LunarGlide8

Did hour plus of warm up core exercises as well as light weights and some knee strengthening stuff.

Sunday Jan 28 #

6 AM

walk trot (never got going at all) 1:03:53 [3] 5.0 mi (12:47 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Clifton 2

Never ever got rolling...even after I pushed some still barely going 13 min pace in the dark...I just cannot go in the dark...my stride is too 'low' I drag my feet and am worried about tripping and other old age stuff...last 3 days of 60's in afternoon declimatized me to the cold also...it seemed to go into my bones and there was no wind to make it worse...just 30 degrees and a chill in the air. I have never gotten my full energy and strength back since my Xmas cold...even on days I've run well then I'm drained way too much after the workout.
