walk trot (humid but nice ) 1:09:10 [3] 6.0 mi (11:32 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Ghost 9

Official time: 1:09:10.55. My birthday is 9/10/55 and of course I'm #1 so this must be the sign (I'm a narcissist...and I'm a butthead to paraphrase my favorite wife).

running tempo (OC Track) 12:08 [3] 1.25 mi (9:42 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Clifton 2

Warmup to start once again to put some sort of quickness and smoothness into my stride (all things considered). When warming up at track I did a few short 10 to 20 yard speed bursts and I always feel awkward so I paid attention to the light bulb flashing over my head. I slowed down until I felt smoother and more in control.

I approached the 5 lap 100mt trot then stride with same philosophy. I accelerated into strides more slowly and smoothly and tried not to strain (too much). Basically ran same pace without the purple face and bulging veins in my neck.

I felt smoother and thus more rewarded and confident I was going to gain the most from this rather limited 'speed' workout.

running (OC Trail 2.5 mile loops) 50:10 [3] 5.0 mi (10:02 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Clifton 2

In the past I would have pushed to break 50 but I felt I was doing the most I needed to do today...pace and effort wise. It was a good hard workout but I had a little left.

Ran backwards and did not start at the marked starting place so only 2 times:

26:29 (10:36 pace)
23:41 (9:28 pace)

walk trot (sunny beautiful humid) 59:29 [3] 5.1 mi (11:40 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Ravenna 8

I see a Hoka Cantu on sale (black and red with white trim) on sale $67 from a place on line called Kelly's Runningwarehouse. And same color for Hoka Mach $80...

Ran same pace today...different course tho. I overdressed by a lot...we had unexpected rain...a lot...last night and this morning...it was overcast and cool while I warmed up inside...just before I went out sun came out...due to all the skin issues when I'm in doubt I'll use the 'cover up' from the sun for a tie-breaker...but the humidity was high and I was close to be toasty by the time I finished.

shoes: Hoka Infinite

These Hoka's felt good today...

10 AM

running (sunny nice breezy) 50:19 [3] 5.0 mi (10:04 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Ghost 9

I could have broken 50 min/10min pace if the breeze had just been slightly less...not a howling wind but I still lack a little running power. Right hip slightly sore before and it was the left hip slightly sore when I finished...

1M 11:15
2M 21:42 (10:27)
3M 31:38 (9:56)
4M 41:17 (9:39)
5M 50:19 (9:02)

I held back just slightly...too early and too weak to go the 110 % push.
