9 AM

golf (Kickingbird ) 10:00 [3] 4.0 mi (2:30 / mi)
shoes: Skecher Golf

3 PM

running (neighborhood hot humid) 42:41 [3] 4.0 mi (10:40 / mi)
shoes: Nike Pegasus 34

It sure felt a lot hotter than 91 degrees when I shuffled along. My stride was really off but I just pushed on until it smoothed out. My red heat light was on from about a mile on but I played mind games to distract myself...counting strides...doing small surges of 10 strides or so...jumping off sidewalk onto grass, etc. It worked.

walk trot (wiped out today) 1:05:16 [3] 4.0 mi (16:19 / mi)
shoes: LunarGlide8

I had nothing today...yesterday I thought it would be a good idea to duplicate that workout...but today I woke up and had no energy, which by itself is not necessarily a sign of doom, but it was one of those morning that eating, coffee, juice, warmup stuff limited and trying to trot a couple hundred yards to warm up did nothing to breath life into my legs or energy into my body.

I walked and that was all I could do.

I did Zatopeks...never held breath a long time just 5 to 13 steps...also I have 'eye exercises' I'll do walking...where I close one eye to force the other one to work harder. I did that for about 1/3 of the way.

I wanted to run 5 days in a row but it was not meant to be...but I just realized I had run 5 out of 6 days...so I was due to crash.

running tempo (OC Track) 9:37 [3] 1.0 mi (9:37 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Mach Black/Red

100 meter trot then stride for one mile...this workout seems to have done the most for me the past two years as far as leg speed. One thing seems clear...the faster I run the better my form...I was back to dragging right leg some until I warmed up...I think something is off on my right leg but if I can run enough, fast enough the leg gets so strong I don't have the cerebral palsy flutter and stutter.... 8x 100 mt trot 8 x 100 stride alternating each.
11 AM

biking (A few Zatopeks) 10:00 [3] 2.0 mi (5:00 / mi)

10 PM

running (OC Trail 2.5 mile loops) 51:25 [3] 5.0 mi (10:17 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Mach Black/Red

26:42 first loop
24:43 second loop. This was much faster than it felt like, especially first half mile...cooler today but last mile I was using a lot of willpower to finish out 'gracefully'.

running (super hot humid ugh) 43:11 [3] 4.0 mi (10:48 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Ghost 9

Jeez the heat/humidity is testing me to the limits of my endurance and 'toughness'. First quarter mile was horrible...I did remember to start my 'warmup/lung stretcher' Zatopeks right away.

11:47 (felt like 15 minutes)
22:51 (11:04)
33:17 (10:26)
43:11 (9:52)
10 AM

biking 10:00 [3] 2.0 mi (5:00 / mi)

Some Zatopek lung stretchers.

running (OC Trail 2.5 mile loops) 1:02:15 [3] 6.0 mi (10:23 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Clifton 2

Low 80's but with humidity it really made it tough. I have no leg power right now. Just pure rock-brained stubbornness...there's a Mennonite type lady that has about 4 or 5 kids that runs in a long skirt in this weather...she basically just runs in what she would wear during the day. Don't know if there are many Mennonite groups up there. Out in West Okieland...near where Chrissy went to Southwestern Okie State is a place called Corn...I believe John Denver's grandmother was from that area. Just a little trivia (had to Wikipedia this info).

Anyway she trudges along for several miles...at least 4 to 5 if not more...she weaves around on a lot of mini-trails I don't use.

Ran 2 laps of .5 around the soccer field loop to add a mile to my run today.

I did start my Zatopek's early to help me get going...I just do 3 to 5 steps holding my breath...may only take in one breath and do same thing another time or two. Then a minute or two later repeat that. I believe it's the equivalent of running at 33,000 feet or so. I don't do them the whole way just a mile or two. It seems to oxygenate my blood (my theory).
11 AM

biking 10:00 [3] 2.0 mi (5:00 / mi)

Due to fatigue I only did a few short Zatopeks.

golf (Guthrie Aqua Canyon) 10:00 [3] 4.0 mi (2:30 / mi)
shoes: Skecher Golf

1 PM

running (super hot humid ugh) 42:58 [3] 4.0 mi (10:45 / mi)
shoes: Nike Pegasus 34

Got cooked today. Hot. Neighborhood. Slow taking times down for neighborhood but I've slowed 30 seconds a mile since it got hot...when it cools off in Sept/Oct I hopefully will then run at least 45 seconds faster or more.

11:42
22:47 (11:05)
33:10 (10:23)
42:58 (9:48)

90 with 97 heat index...it felt even hotter to me.
