Saturday Aug 3 #

9 AM

walk trot (cloudy cool again nice) 1:06:30 [3] 4.25 mi (15:39 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Ravenna 8

Walked fast. Last mile I did a few 4-5 step take offs to get the feeling of pushing off...one of my right side issues is that the right foot just does not push off...at least until I'm running and it 'warms up'.

Zatopeks.

Leg feels fine...had to 'sprint' across 4 lane streets 5 or 6 times and no issues when I did.

running tempo (OC Track) 7:12 [3] 0.75 mi (9:36 / mi)
shoes: Nike Pegasus 34

I felt a slight tug on left outter hamstring halfway through the 7th 100 meter...I shut it down the first step which was good. I walked 4 miles. I was able to walk fast and now that I am done it seems mostly ok...I kinda think I'll be able to jog within a week...icing it now.

walk trot (OC Trail 2.5 mile loops) 1:04:55 [3] 4.05 mi (16:02 / mi)
shoes: Nike Pegasus 34

walk trot (warm humid but still nice) 1:12:14 [3] 4.5 mi (16:03 / mi)
shoes: New Balance 460

About 6:30 yesterday got one of my heat migraines...lasted about 3 hours...the bad part. By ten it was okay...I tried to drink enough but it was so hot running I got cooked...the cool weather last week probably took away from of my heat resistance but at my age now I am not nearly as tough in the heat as back in Norman and Altus, etc.

Monday Jul 29 #

7 AM

golf (Guthrie Augusta) 10:00 [3] 4.0 mi (2:30 / mi)
shoes: Sketcher Golf

12 PM

running (super hot 100 ugh) 42:58 [3] 4.0 mi (10:45 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Ghost 9

11:38
22:34 (10:56)
32:51 (10:17)
42:58 (10:07) I was toasted by one mile...meaning BEFORE one mile. I just kept putting one foot in front of another and jumping up onto grass and surging...altho surges were very long or a lot quicker. Last .4 some dude from workout place about 35 -40 lbs overweight started out on a run about 30 yards ahead of me...he pulled away...it did pull me along. I was at end of 4 miles on super hot day after playing golf and probably giving him at least 30 years...so I guess the years and weight traded off? Ha.
1 PM

biking (some Zatopeks) 10:00 [3] 2.0 mi (5:00 / mi)

Sunday Jul 28 #

6 AM

walk trot (nice morning ) 1:17:49 [3] 5.0 mi (15:34 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Infinite

Yesterday in the heat and after golfing and this morning during fast walk felt the most strain on my heart in a while. The medicine seems to be affecting me more this time...hopefully that is good also...as in working and actually taking care of the infection totally.

Zatopeks and also some eye 'exercises' (one eye shut to force the other one to work more).
