Horribly hot this afternoon 103 and feels like 112. I was just going to walk but it was too hot to walk over an hour...so I trotted along from time to time and did about 10-15 short 15 to 20 stride surges.

Okieland went from super wet for 6 months to dry (on surface...plenty of water in city reservoirs and ponds etc) with only 20% chance of rain for two days...so of course it rained all night...still ok this morning BUT then it really started to rain just after I went out...it was light to no rain at first then the hand of fate intervened so that by 3/4 mile some lightning here and there and that went on for next mile which seemed like an hour...was just walking I was so tired still...think that Tues 6 miler zapped me even worse than I realized...plus my 'heart' has bugged me a lot during workouts this week...so I googled and filled myself with water, lemon and lime juice, asparagus, olive oil etc etc and thus poisoned myself with my super home remedy super-charged revival blast.

Finally I decided the storm was not going overhead fast enough so I started to shuffle stagger jog. First 2 miles about 32 and last 2 about 23:30.

I simply could not move...I only stopped to cross road for a few seconds when car coming...I've felt more tired...this was weird like I was at altitude...I could not go faster. I really concentrated on landing on right heel first 3.25 miles or so...I thought I was going to speed up but I really didn't.

Super humid today...but it is overcast and cooler...I'm drained I guess.

Made it ok today but if I had gone further would have been bad news again. I did a lot of exercises for drop foot as the term goes. It can be related to MS type problems as well as stroke. I can tell a lot of people have it worse than I have it...my deal is with running not walking but causing me same issues with foot/toe dragging.

Ironically I have been heavy landing heel running my whole life rather than flat footed or one of those floaters like Shorter that seem to land on forefoot...but evidently my right foot stopped the heel strike as I used to do it...everything was a slide...I could tell that in the snow but did not realize that meant I was not pushing off as I should.

We'll see if this helps.

I was going to run 5 miles on the trail. Decided to be safe and walk some so stayed here but upped it to 6 miles. 5 would have been enough. I hit the wall at 5. Instead of finishing strong I began to fade about 4.75 but really started crashing just past 5. I have no push with my right foot...its weird. I concentrated on 'jumping' curb and my feet got tangled up shuffling to get in sync to push with right foot. My instinct was to push with my left foot...I hope I can figure a way out to jump start the foot and get my stride back to normal.

A little of everything. A few Zatopeks, walking, trotting along short distance, walk then strides...mostly on grass for the strides...I can barely push off with my right foot on the sidewalk when trying to do strides. When I hop over onto the grass I can take off in a good near sprint pace and stride. Go figure. Not sure how many strides...at first only about 10-15 strides probably 20 yards or so...longest about 35 strides and maybe 65 yards...probably did about 20 of these...
