Borderline if counting as walking but just shuffling along. I did gradually push just slightly starting at 2.5 and especially last mile but could not go much faster...last mile plus just a little flutter in stride at times not the whole way. Beautiful except super humid...

Nice. Overcast...perfect temperature. Humid but cool enough that it felt good. Workouts like this I start walking and then when inspiration hits I'll do the first shuffling along. Usually 10 to 20 steps. Today I started within first half block. Sometimes I go a mile or two before I start. Usually its somewhere in between those two extremes. I go at a pace that my stride actually feels normal...I'm hoping that might 'retrain' my mind and body to gradually run smoothly at quicker paces...

Cat scan at 2:15 today. I'm kinda clogged and peeing some blood again but overall much less blood in past 3 weeks. I feel like there's debris stuck in the the urinary tract and so the scan is 'good timing' to show me at my less than best.

Ironically one of my church golfing buddies had a severe kidney stone attack Sunday morning...he went to emergency room. Got his arm bruised up before they got an iv in him but once they drugged him he passed the stone. I've been going thru this for 3 years and never saw what appeared to be a stone at all.

I did not stop the second half...maybe once for 50 yards.

No power until second loop. I reversed directions at halfway because I would have the wind at my back for a lot of the first 3/4 seemed to work. I got a little more leg turn over and was able to maintain it and more when I hit the wind with a mile to go.

I need to get back to some of my 'speed work' on the track...even if it's less and slower. I just cannot shuffle jog fast enough to speed up at this point...all I can do is hold my own or slow down. It was breezy today but manageable. The more important difference was it was cooler. For some reason I felt warm at may have been the humidity.

2 hours after golf I went out for my walk trot. Never had a 'quick cadence' foot turnover but nice and steady after about a mile. Did not stop last 1.9.

64 years old today.

Out early. I actually was stupid enough to schedule a denal appt and my first fillings...two. Both are worn out teeth no cavities involved. I was going to walk 5. About 3/4 of mile I started a little trotting here and there and it gradually increased over next mile until rarely stopped. Last 3 miles about 95% trotting along. Never pushed. At this pace my stride actually feels ok...

My heart feels a little 'off' or strained at times...had this before. It goes away...only when I am trotting or running...usually at beginning of run but today was more in the middle.

My right hip was sore after my 6.5M run Sunday but did not bother me walking at all yesterday. More sore rest of day. I kept doing my ice, heat, electro therapy pad thingies and butt lifting exercises. Hip did not bother me one bit in the walk/trot workout. Go figure. It's mostly when I get up from sitting...

I was light-headed and weak when I started...finally about 2 miles I started to feel ok but I did not run or trot a step and I did not add on. Cox coming today to fix internet issues. Birthday tomorrow and I have a dentist appointment including 2 filling that will be my first and second ones. No cavities just 2 deteriorated teeth. Friday I have cat scan. Feel like I'm working almost.

One of our friends from church (Jacksons/they have moved to DFW area) has a son that ran a 109 mile race in the ALPS mostly in France. Finished in 38 hours. 3D map show a super brutal looking course.

Decided it was time for fall build up...cooler weather on way although still in mid 90's now. Still weak feeling tho so not sure when I started how far to go...goal was minimum my standard 5 but hoped for at least 6 and maybe 7. By two I was shooting for 7 but by 4 I really started to lag again instead of gradually speeding up. Then just before 5 I knew I should take my bailout option of 6.4 miles and add .1 for a nice 6.5.

Walked and trotted whole the middle for a couple of miles only stopped once per mile but my energy level was dropping so much I started walking more again.

Cat scan this Friday. I had gone 3 weeks with little visible 'pee blood' but then it started back up again Friday and was really bad yesterday. I do feel a little weak...when trying to trot and run but otherwise I feel good.
