Shuffled a long...less and less walking after 3/4's mile. Never really got into fast pace either though.

6:22 plus for first half mile...and I was not feeling good at all...no energy or bounce. After about half way around first loop I began to slowly speed up...a little. At 2.2 or so a girl in pink top and black tights went by me. I think she was doing about 9 min pace at the time. I sped up just trying to hang close for next 1/3 of mile...she went on...I was actually going to reverse direction but I decided to use her to pull me along even though she was 100 yards plus ahead of me already. I was under 10 min pace thanks to her. First half of first lap I was just hoping to run 56 minutes...then 55...then 54 but even with half mile to go I did not anticipate going under 53:30 which is kinda the new norm for me right now without speed work.

Quick walk...no trotting. Procedure at 1:45...it was moved up to 12:30. Really nice morning. It is still warming up in afternoon but morning and evenings are pleasant these days.

Went better than I thought. Waiting for tomorrow's procedure has drained me mentally...plus the humidity is off charts with more rain but at least its cooler. I starting shuffling very early and by one mile decided to do some short surges. For 2 miles I did 10 surges...just quick steps...15 at first then 20 then 40 on the last one. After 3 miles I ran in but I had to do some quick running to cross street twice one was about same yards 40 or so...second one was probably 25 yards. I'm guessing I did about a quarter mile that probably was about 6:30 pace. First time in nearly a month I've done any type of surges or quick paced running. My form was not too bad either.

At 1.25 or so I told myself to bail out and turn at 1.5 and just do 3...after turning around the wind was than at my back and I got a little momentum going so I kept going and added the 2 back on just in a different route...the other route seemed darker and gloomier. A little rain last half mile...felt good actually. I dodged the rain storms this time.

18:07 for last 1.5 so basically 12:05 pace. At least I got going a little.

I may need to get the right knee drained or cleaned out in the next year or two. Other issues for now.
