10 AM

running (OC Trail 2.5 mile loops) 57:17 [3] 5.0 mi (11:27 / mi)
shoes: Saucony Ride ISO

Way faster than I expected/hoped for...even after a mile was not sure I could break hour...12min/pace. Just kept speeding up...really nice and I was dressed too warm but not so much I burned up...

1M 12:40
2M 24:45 (12:05)
3M 36:00 (11:15)
4M 47:00 (11:00)
5M 57:15 (10:15)

Loop one 30:33
Loop two 26:44.

Like my new Saucony Rides. Not as bouncy as the Sketcher's but nice shoe, light and fits my foot in toe...read up on this ole brand especially concerning the sizing...kinda like the 3 bears and Goldilocks....some said sizes right on, some said buy half size up and some said half size down...I went with my current standard size 9 and it is slightly shorter but the toe box is wide and had no issues with it being short.

Thursday Nov 14 #

7 AM

walk trot (walk only cold) 1:07:26 [3] 4.15 mi (16:15 / mi)
shoes: New Balance 460

Follow up visit today with urologist. (Everything good to go on Doc's part...I knew on my part things seemed about as good as I could hope for...both pace of recover...much faster than they advised me...and the results of the procedures).

Wednesday Nov 13 #

10 AM

walk trot (really windy crapola) 1:03:56 [3] 5.05 mi (12:40 / mi)
shoes: Sketcher GoRun7

Second half fighting back into wind most of the way...these Sketchers are nice and bouncy.

1M 14:09
2M 27:00 (12:51)
3M 40:09 (13:09) ran about 15-20 seconds extra
4M 52:24 (12:15)
5M 1:03:56 (11:32)

The .5 is kinda spread out so just shows splits as seen.

Tuesday Nov 12 #

10 AM

walk trot (Lots more walking slower) 57:31 [3] 4.0 mi (14:23 / mi)
shoes: LunarGlide8

Needed a rest day. Sat/Sun/Mon were all about as much as I could do...so 3 days in a row. Wrong...I looked and Friday was my 'quickest' 5 miler since laser stuff...so 4 days in a row...I really did not want to warmup or even go out the door...cold but sunny no wind...got to feeling better mentally physically about 1/3 of the way into things.

1M 16:14
2M 31:04 (14:50)
3M 44:45 (13:41)
4M 57:31 (12:46)

Sunday Nov 10 #

7 AM

walk trot (with surges ran later) 1:04:53 [3] 5.0 mi (12:59 / mi)
shoes: Nike Pegasus 34

Ran an hour later so it was light...was going to do 5...but after I got up decided 4 might be better...after I started out I decided to go for 4.5, but by 1.25 I was pretty sure I would not turn around but go ahead and do the 5 mile loop I was on. About .8 or so I started some slow pickups...only 5 or steps...after about 5 of those increased pace and steps...longest was 50 strides at pretty good pace...average was probably 20 strides...I would stop and walk ten steps...do the 20 strides walk 10 more steps and do a second one then trot on a quarter mile or more. Did about 17 of these...

1M 14:33
2M 27:43 (13:00)
3M 40:33 (12:50)
4M 52:50 (12:17)
5M 1:04:53 (12:03)

Good for Sunday morning early...I needed to do something to get my legs turning over.
