walk trot (out early golfing later) 30:05 [3] 2.0 mi (15:02 / mi)
(rest day) shoes: Hoka Arahi 5 Brite Blue

Last evening I did 15 min reduced drill routine. Driving to Weatherford this morning to play golf in scramble fund raiser with my son James. Really tired...walked until about 3/4's of a mile then walk trotted in. Also added some short, short as in 20 yard type surges...around 5 or 6 just to stretch out the legs. Needed a easy day...not sure if allergies or what but kinda wiped out since Tuesday.
8 AM

golf (Prairie West Weatherford) 5:00 [3] 1.0 mi (5:00 / mi)
shoes: Skecher Golf Cream

Rode cart but also had to walk some. 4 1/2 hours of playing . Enjoyable...played with one of James ole OC basketball teammates and his dad. Good company.

running (storm then sun 2 runs) 56:40 [3] 5.05 mi (11:13 / mi)
shoes: Hoka ATR 5 Gore Tex BLK

Storms came in about 7...supposed to stop between 9 and 10. Went out at 9:15 in light rain but within 2 minutes last storm burst started up so I had to turn around pretty quick and got in half a mile.

40 minutes later or so went out again. Sunny but then south wind kicked up and my energy was all gone. Ground things out and managed to run last 3M faster than I expected.

2M... 26:00..... 13:00 pace
last 3.05 mile.... 30:40... 10:03 pace

45 min + warm up: everything. Standing leg drills, 40lb lifts, 8 knee PU, 40 SU, floor core, chair and floor leg lifts, arm and leg bands. Reps reduced especially for arm work.

walk trot tempo (windy sluggish tired) 55:40 [3] 3.5 mi (15:54 / mi)
(rest day) shoes: Hoka ATR 5 Gore Tex BLK

Standing leg drills only warm up. Too tired to warm up. Right knee sore...the Rincon's are springy and great but 8.5M was too far in them. Walked until about 3/4's of a mile...walked n trotted next quarter mile and ran in last half mile. Very slow first 1.25M or so.

I am totally exhausted and beat up but at least it's from a surge of training from Monday of last week until yesterday.

running hills (sunny nice ) 1:30:29 [4] 8.5 mi (10:39 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Rincon 3 Orange/Green

40 min+ of warm up drills: dead lift 40lbs...nothing above waist yet, 13 knee PU, 40 SU, reduced floor core, chair and floor leg lifts, arm and leg bands, standing leg drills.

7M hilly course plus 1.5M of half mile add-ons at 3 different places...I was pretty tired by 7M and felt as tired or even more tired from this 8.5M as the 10.5 and 11M runs last week.

1st 4M.... 45:37... 11:24 pace
Last 4.5M.. 44:52... 9:58 pace

Just saw it is 24 right now in Duluth with 12 WC. That is $3@% cold for this time of year!

running tempo (sunny windy cool) 1:05:09 [4] 6.2 mi (10:30 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Arahi 4 Dark Blue

Still felt weak but ran okay. North wind about 18 mph. I purposely ran route where all the wind into my face was going out and I had the wind at my back heading home.

40 min warm up drills. Dead lifted 40lb barbell and also lifted with just one arm...nothing above waist high. 12 knee PU. Floor core (slightly reduced), foam roller. Standing leg drills, arm and leg bands.

1st 3.1M... 35:25... 11:25 pace
2nd 3.1M.. 29:44.. 9:35 pace...

walk trot (Memorial Marathon Day) 50:04 [3] 3.5 mi (14:18 / mi)
(rest day) shoes: Hoka Clifton 6

Felt dead. Let me say that again...I felt dead this morning. Surprised by this actually. Until I went out I figured I would have a medium-slow easy 5M. Guess the 10.5M and 11M runs caught up to me. I shuffled about 2/3's of a mile then went to alternating a slow shuffle with a slow walk.

The marathon usually starts at 6:30 which is too early as far as I'm concerned. Due to storms that did not form they delayed the start until 7:30 and I believe they are putting the half and full marathons off at the same time.

It is called the Memorial Marathon to remember the 168 people killed in the OKC Murrah Building bombing April 19, 1995. They have an incredible museum where the building used to be and this is the 22nd marathon. They missed 2020 of course and had the 2021 last fall so it's only 6 months later.
