running (feel worse today) 54:19 [3] 4.0 mi (13:35 / mi)
(sick) shoes: Hoka ATR 5 Gore Tex BLK

Much cooler by nearly 20 degrees, overcast and steady wind that made it feel even cooler. Meds were wearing off as I went out but did not want to take them before trot/run. Actually my legs felt very good. I walked and trotted whole way. Out into wind and coming home with it. I probably should have stuck to 3.5M...we'll see.

25 min warm up drills: 45 SU, leg bands, standing leg drills, chair and floor leg lifts, very reduced floor core.

Still feel way better than before I went to the clinic. Chrissy is strong as a horse and doing great. She is still sleeping a lot like I am.

walk trot (finally a little better) 56:09 [3] 3.5 mi (16:03 / mi)
(sick) (rest day) shoes: Hoka Arahi 5 Brite Blue

25 min warm up...easy with mostly reduced drills and reps...standing leg drills, leg lifts/chair and floor, foam roller leg bands.

Walked just over a mile then began to put in 5 shuffle strides that increased up to about 60 at the end.

AT 4:30 this morning not doing so great...was not discouraged so much as starting to get concerned. Took vit D, zinc and b12 with 2 Tylenol and about 30 minutes later I realized I felt almost normal. When doing my walk n shuffle still weak but finally progress. Took 3rd set of meds.

walk trot (feeling down still) 43:15 [3] 2.5 mi (17:18 / mi)
(sick) (rest day) shoes: Hoka ATR 5 Gore Tex BLK

No warm up. Throat more sore was far as swallowing...not really 'raw' feeling. Decided to go to walk in clinic. Tested positive...not a surprise but unlike Chrissy was prescribed treatment: Paxlovid = taking 1.rivonavir and 2 nirmatrelvir tablets twice a day for 5 days.

Hope I don't grow a third ear...I guess if I develop super powers that will be ok.

The achiness was not fun but the difficulty swallowing was why I went in. Only 1 degree 'fever'.

walk trot (light headed weak) 59:16 [3] 3.5 mi (16:56 / mi)
(sick) (rest day) shoes: Hoka ATR 5 Gore Tex BLK

Night sweats. Sore throat. Really slow first half but I was able to push the walking pace second half...and finally with half mile to go able to do about 5 15-20 yard shuffles and one about 75 yards.

Ate some solid food and felt better. Able to do my leg bands, limited floor core with 40SU and standing leg drills. 20 minutes...also foam roller and chair/floor leg lifts.

running long (a mile too far ugh) 1:43:43 [3] 8.0 mi (12:58 / mi)
(sick) shoes: Hoka ATR Challenger5 Dark Blue

40 min warm up drills. 45 SU, floor core reduced greatly, standing leg drills, leg lifts chair and floor, foam roller, leg bands.

Achy all night. Tired going out like yesterday but I felt better than expected again first 3/4's of mile. Going for 6.5...kept adding...going very slowly but I felt ok. Legs were just heavy...but with about 1.25M left...I had to start walking again...a lot. Fell like a ton of brick fell on me.

2+ hours later: really hammered. Feels like I ran 15 or 16 miles. 7:45pm I've been useless all day. It is frustrating to lay around for hours and still feel like my blood is mud.

running tempo (sunny warm tired at start) 1:11:04 [3] 6.2 mi (11:28 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Clifton 6

No warm up. Too tired and sore. Deep ache in bones/muscles. Ran a 2 degree fever for a couple of hours yesterday evening. I had not had a fever in I don't know how long. The dull ache was more than normal but still within my ever present malaria issue.

Most of the time when I go out slow and incorporate walking the ache goes away and it did today. Gradual increase of pace and length of trotting along. Very short trotting first 3/4's of mile. Never walked more than about 20 yards. By about 1/3 of the way trotted nearly half mile before short walk. Last 2M managed to shuffle jog in.

1st ..3.2M ... 39:40.... 12:24 pace
2nd... 3.0M... 31:24.. 10:28 pace last mile about 9:35.

About 70 when I started and 76 when I finished...with humidity says it feels like 83...and it did.

running tempo (very slow start tired) 1:00:26 [3] 5.0 mi (12:05 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Arahi 5 Brite Blue

No warm up. Mostly walk first quarter mile...gradually sped up the whole way. Second half much better than expected. Just and easy day to sweat out the stiffness and aches. Nice morning. Very little wind. 75 degrees.

20 min+ of drills. Tired and sore. Mowed grass in back. Leg bands, standing leg drills, reduced floor core.
