running long (Finally felt stronger ) 1:37:59 [4] 8.0 mi (12:15 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Bondi 8 grey/red-orange

Plodding along again...as I got past 3 speeded up a little but it was down hill (actually part of 1M mostly downhill stretch) but then had half mile mostly uphill and that seemed to stifle my quickened pace...but the last 4 mile I gradually sped up and was able to push in last 2M or more.

1st 4M: ==== 53:25.... 13:21 pace
2nd 4M:==== 44:34... 11:09 pace...last mile 10:00

About the same as yesterday but I felt a little tougher against warmth and humidity. Humidity down at 60% versus 75% yesterday...temp 75 when started and over 80 when finished although it felt the same to me.

Took my time over 2 hours or so doing most of the drills...no floor weights except 45lb barbell and just did a few reps some with just one are...core work especially to help with hips, stability and knees. Think I have a bone chip on top of foot next to front of leg...no problem running but last night it just did not want to 'work'...it happens on side sometimes...had this in right knee 4 years ago.

Feel better after this 8 miler than 6 and 7 milers earlier this week.

running hills (WILLPOWER) 1:32:13 [3] 7.0 mi (13:10 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Bondi 8 Brite Blue Orange

75 with same for humidity. It was one of those days where I could plod along at 13 min pace and feel comfortable but I could not speed up...I was a one gear pony today.

1st 3.5M: 48:55.... 13:59 pace
2nd 3.5M: 43:18.... 12:23 pace

Actually slowed down 30 seconds a mile last 2M from 12 min pace. In my prime I loved running in todays conditions but humidity really slows me as does heat...more so than it should.

Drained...not worse case scenario but I was drained. Did the basic important drills for knees, hips and core. No arm work at all.

running (Needed to rest up some) 27:52 [3] 2.0 mi (13:56 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Clifton 8 Brite Blue

Pretty pooped and golfing early so just did 2. Good day to cut back.

Afternoon drills...most but not all. 35 min.
7 AM

golf (Lincoln East) 15:00 [3] 5.0 mi (3:00 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Speedgoat 5 Black Yellow

Warm and windy...played okay about half the time and like an idiot half the time. So average day.

Wednesday Jun 12 #

6 AM

running tempo (Pushed it most of last 4M) 1:11:32 [4] 6.0 mi (11:55 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Bondi 8 grey/red-orange

5 min leg drill warm up. Shuffle trotting from first step. Lead footed but at least I was going along at a fair pace (for me). Absolutely did not feel I could pick up the pace much the second half (I think that almost every run now) but somehow I did. Warm as it could be an yet very nice, almost no wind just the type of breeze that helps.

1st 3M: 40:12... 13:24 pace....
2nd 3M: 31:20.. 10:27 pace....last mile about 9:25....very fast last mile.

Tuesday Jun 11 #

6 AM

running tempo (Sluggish again) 52:00 [3] 4.0 mi (13:00 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Rincon 3 Orange/Green

Messed up watch first half mile.

1st .5: @ 8:34....
3.5M: 43:26... 12:25 pace. About 11:00 for last mile. No power in legs until about 2.5M or so. Beautiful morning.
11 AM

golf (Kickingbird GC Edmond) 15:00 [3] 5.0 mi (3:00 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Speedgoat 5 Black Yellow

Played first 6 great...next 6 ok and then stumbled in like a ...whatever...

Monday Jun 10 #

6 AM

running tempo (Malaria/allergy weakness) 49:43 [4] 4.0 mi (12:26 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Bondi 7 Lite Blue

The Bondi 7's are so wore down on the heels that they feel weird/awkward first couple of miles...forefoot has very little wear and tear. If I could switch to Bill Rodger or Frank Shorter form I could run another 600 miles in these things.

Really weak...almost dizzy...like my old 'malaria' or lingering allergy. Still coughing and snorting a lot...have been since early spring off/on. Just when I think I'm through this comes back. I will say though I feel weak and heavy but my 'slow' pace is about 2 minutes a mile faster than a month ago.

1st 2M: 27:10....13:35 pace
2nd 2M: 22:08.... 11:04 pace.
11 AM

golf (Kickingbird GC Edmond) 15:00 [3] 5.0 mi (3:00 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Torrent 2 (4 golf)

Warm and breezy...spotty play. Some good but a little too much bad.

Sunday Jun 9 #

6 AM

running hills (Weatherford) 1:06:08 [3] 5.05 mi (13:06 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Gortex ATR 7 Challenger

Mostly same route but added on. Really feel the hills working legs over in a good way. Hip tweaky in the evening and I could feel it today but no pain or issues.
