Biking 25:00 [2]

cycled over to KM Mellom. Overtook Anni on the uphill. Never mind that she was cruising, still counts! Helen caught both of us up though.

Walked around 4 controls of the course, Not sure I can swing that as being training though. Checked out Karl VII's baking oven/sweet cave.

Wound seems fine. Walking is fine. But the muscle next to the wound I think has taken some damage, kind of feels similar to a twisted ankle. Considered going for a short jog on the roads, but opted out. No need to push things.

Thursday Sep 29 #

Walking is OK today at least. Pretty shitty day though, and peeved to miss the last football match of the season.

Wednesday Sep 28 #

Yeow. Getting mobile today was painful. Not going far.

Football 50:00 [1]

Fitted in the first hour of training before heading over to 25-manna test.

Running warm up/down 8:00 [3] 1.7 km (4:42 / km)

WU to arena

Orienteering 17:30 [3] 2.0 km (8:45 / km)

Feeling pretty strong and good in the forest - just a bit off course with the compass. Going well to #7, then smacked my left leg on a hidden stick exiting the control. Continued for a couple of hundred metres thinking I'd just bruised it, but then looked down to see blood seeping through my sock.
Had a look under my sock, unveiling a fairly deep and large hole in my shin. Quickly covered it back up, wrapped my gps vest around it for extra compression, and began a slow, long limp back to the arena.

Hoped someone would be watching the live gps, and come and get me. But no. Got back eventually though :) Thankfully there was no queue at A&E, and the ibuprofen that Fredrik gave me was twice the strength I thought it was. So stitched up, pain free (temporarily) and home by 8pm.

First O training back after WOC. Maybe I should have stuck with just football a bit longer ;)

walking 15:00 [0] 1.5 km (10:00 / km)

Far out this felt a long way.

Football 1:00:00 [1]

Bare rolig.
I've been super slack with strength and rolling things out since WOC, paying the price with my left knee now. Wonder if I can chase and hop back on the wagon in time before it's too late...

Running 1:08:45 [3] 11.39 km (6:02 / km) +182m 5:36 / km

Another tour de hoiasmarka. Started west and looped past hoias to the east this time. Saw the same moose again. Hope he learns to move a bit faster by hunting season!
