Kine, Illiana and I finally headed down to Stromstad to run the sprint courses from last year's WOC.
Was really cool to finally get to run it...about 9 months later than originally planned, but hey. Things went reasonably well, i'm slowly building back up my sprint routines. I don't quite have the confidence in my quick decision making back (or the quick legs), but it's getting there.
No point comparing times too closely due to different conditions (and the course being available for the last 9 months), but safe to say I was a wee way behind Maja and Judith ;)

Went to run the qualification after a bit of a break. But body wasn't having it. Don't think I warmed up hard enough. Not too fussed though, the course wasn't the most exciting, and final course was the main training in any case. I jogged around for the most part.

Mork onsdagsnatt style course (mass start, gaffled, no tapes.) the boys were running hard while Eva and I ran 'just a little bit' slower behind. Felt like I hadn't been in this terrain in a long time, legs were weary and it was tough going.

A novel new session - Long run with a sprint in the middle... Test ran the Ostfold sprint course up at the fortress, then went for a cruise in the forest before turning home. The hill back up home was not so nice today.

8 x 3min intervals on the single tracks around Venas. Tough going today, and really tempted to pull the pin after 3 ints. But staying on the single tracks kept me thinking more about where I was putting my feet and negotiating corners, and less about the suffering. Even so, I found myself looking at my watch at about 2.10 and then 2.35 every rep!

Aah to be back playing :) first half was a funny mix of having a good touch and eye at times, and having a horrible touch at other times. Just rusty i guess.
Second half was better. Set up the first goal but also gave away the penalty for the equaliser. Long time since ive given a penalty away aye. the girl was through but my slide was fair and i got the ball.. but the girl also ended on the deck, and the ref was a bit soft. ;)
We dominated the match but our centre striker didnt have her scoring boots on it. Then we went 2-1 down as we pressed for a winner. I had the chance to equalise with a couple of minutes left, but got the inside of the post instead. Classic.
