Spent the day helping prepare the Pre-O control sites for next week. Learned lots, and grazed on lots of berries. Main accomplishment of the day was single handedly chopping down 3m tree that was blocking one of the controls. Badass. But felt sorry for the tree. Shame it's not Christmas, would have been a nice addition to the house.

Orienteering 1:15:00 [1] 7.0 km (10:43 / km)

Putting tapes out on Guttesrod. Was a little bit longer than I was led to believe.
About 10 times out there I could smell what I thought was a decaying dead animal...which made me wonder what was killing them all...and if I was being stalked by a bear... But given I never actually saw any dead animals, I think it was just really horrible smelling rotting mushrooms. But boy, they smelt like a 1 week old dead possum.

Football 1:00:00 [1]

Didn't have my head in the game (or training) today. Probably should have just skipped it.

Orienteering 1:15:00 [2] 7.5 km (10:00 / km)

Club relay interval training in a lot of rain. I played slow rabbit and went out 10-15mins before everyone and jogged around. It took a while to get used to features coming up a lot slower than they do at running speed! Got a bit distracted by the massive blueberries, and almost sacrificed my map to the blueberry gods - but then unfolded itand saw how far I still was from the cars. Decided I probably needed the aid of the map more than a bag of blueberries. Lame.

Made tough work of a 5-4 victory. Should have been more like 5-1.
