Orienteering 2:59:00 [1] 10.5 km (17:03 / km) +460m 13:59 / km

Twilight rogaine on Mt Ainslie with Tanja. Slow paced, but we had a lot of fun, which was the main thing. And we even agreed to run the last minute so we got back on time (20s to spare even!)
Strava rudely has my moving time as 2.12hrs haha.
And we showed rogainers how a map should be highlighted...

Walked from the horse paddocks around Ainslie and into Civic. Went cross country for the first bit to get on to Ainslie. but had to double back in a wide circle as I was worried about herding the 200 odd kangaroos that were relaxing on the edge of the paddocks towards the corner of two main roads. Was not so keen on causing major havoc in rush hour traffic :/

Sprint training at Canberra Girls Grammar.
Started with a memory course, 1 control at a time, map at each control. Good fun and hard with the tecnical multilevel map, and each map being taped to the wall, so unoriented in each case!
then 2 short courses. Was meant to be training sprint techniques. But realised that I have no sprint techniques anymore... ;) Good to get a bit of flow back by the end, and so nice to be back in Canberra.

Run from the horse paddocks, through Campbell Parklands and up Ainslie. Didn't find the track I wanted (2.5yrs, memory gone!). Ended up taking the steepest track up instead. Tough work. Admired the views, then took the nicer way back down.

Walk with Bianca and Shackleton, the horse. Like taking a giant dog for a walk, but stopping at every patch of green grass for a feed, rather than every tree for a piss. Worked well when there were blackberry bushes close to the green grass :)
