Running 59:00 [3] 9.1 km (6:29 / km) +400m 5:19 / km

Wilton bush and Johnston's Hill loop. No sign of black bunny, he may have been blown away by the wind. Attempted to remember where an old track is from Johnston's hill car park, but couldn't find it quickly so bailed and did a bonus half climb of the hill instead.

Running 1:02:00 [3] 10.1 km (6:08 / km) +400m 5:07 / km

Port hills. Went up a different valley from last time (2yrs ago). Nice single track then met the masses when I hit the 4wd. Headed east along the crater rim trail but had to turn around after 10mins to (almost) stay within my hour time limit.
Beat Rita and Sam back to the car anyway ;)

Oh boy that was fun and oh gawd my arms are killing me. Chest is sore too, but I didn't split open along my scar, soooo...winning!

Running 58:00 [3] 10.3 km (5:38 / km) +300m 4:55 / km

Around the trails of Hanmer. Snaked my way round the forest reserves and up conical hill to see if the perfectly shaped super tall super skinny tree i could see from town was actually a tree or a disguised phone tower. Was hot enough by the top that I forgot to check though! The mystery remains.
Found some nice MTB single track to race down, then wound my way back to town.

Note

For some reason I'm smashed? Less to do with my raging new years (made it to midnight, reading in bed ;) more to do with doing by far my biggest week yet as Lizzie 2.0
Spent most of the day stretched out on either the sofa or grass. Crawled into town for a milkshake and again later for dinner. Top effort.

Monday Dec 31, 2018 #

Running 1:34:00 [3] 12.7 km (7:24 / km) +700m 5:48 / km

Mt Isobel. Just from Jack's pass to cut out approx 500m extra climb ;) 32min along the rocky ridge and steep as pinches to the top. A long pause and chat to a hiker on the top, by which time granny goat arrived, so I happily took a longer break. then a muddy twisty descent down to Hanmer Springs.

Hiking 3:30:00 [1] 14.0 km (15:00 / km) +700m 12:00 / km

Back out to the road end. Steep as climb to the pass was fun. Nice historical rabbit proof fence from 1889 to admire for most of the climb though. Totally helped! (Spoiler alert, it didn't work, the rabbits waited for winter and snow, then jumped over)
