Mangas loop from Burgess Park. Had weird stomach pains this morning, ran through the varying likelihoods of the options of covid, pregnancy, last night's cocktail making class, or the subsequent takeaways. By the time I'd overthought it for an hour or three, the pain and nausea had subsided and I was fine to go running.

Avoided left over takeaways for dinner, just in case ;)

Friday arvo work run around Patea river trails. Fairly standard. Ran through massive swarms of flies at the top end by the cow paddocks and looked down to find my shirt covered in dead little flies at the end of the run. ewww.

Stratford spriddle course

Straight out of the car from waitarere and onto the course, as everyone else was finished and ready to collect controls! Fun course but a lot of running. Hamstring unsurprisingly not happy after a week of racing and then being called in to action off no warm up. Took the win from Karl by 10s :)

Then on back to Hawera for a sprint round the schools there. So glad I commissioned this for mapping ;) Probably good enough we could have used it for national sprint league in a couple of weeks, but decision was made on that before we mapped it.

Hamstring was definitely not happy after this morning (or, 1hr ago), so eased off the pace - only half voluntary, as my body just wasn¨t keen to run fast tbh. Got well beaten by Karl and Nic
