Storm ints 5 x 4 min. On the grass loop around the fields.
Legs felt good for the first 3 and then reality sunk in. Good progression on speed throughout though, so that was satisfying.

Woodshed hut hike-jog with Rita. Clouds cleared away and had a great time of it. Lovely loop which would make a good 90min or so run. Couldn't tempt Rita with a summit trip, even once the cloud cleared off the tops.

Downpoint of the day was arriving at the hut to the immediate aftermath of a lady showing up with her dog and being reprimanded by the hut warden. Not sure the lady really argued but oh boy her companion did. Got right up in the face of the warden calling her a witch and accusing her of ruining people's day. Then came back for a 2nd and 3rd round while we were there. Good on the warden who just stayed silent and absorbed the attack until the lady ran out of steam. What idiot (a) brings a dog into DOC land when there's clear signage saying they're not allowed. (b) takes said dog on a walk out to a serviced hut. (c) argues when they're so clearly in the wrong?!
