Pleased enough with the JK overall, I got the results I needed with regards to selection anyway, and I held the nav together pretty well. The fitness was lacking a bit, but I was running better than I expected really considering the small amount of winter training. The main issue was the hills so I'll keep going out to Greenwich and also try and add in some runs around Epping.

IOC - 2 weeks
Estonia selection - 4 weeks
(WOC - 10 weeks)

JK Relay - 1st Leg for SLOW, back in 17th and 5th overall.
Good start, kept it nice and clean and tried to stick with the pack for as long as I could. I hung on till about 10 or 11, then people started going by. Legs were gone up the hill to 13 and I slowed down quite a bit I think after the spectator. Still, I kept it clean to the end and I was happy enough to be ~3 mins down

JK Long, 21st
Didn't really get the timing right for the start and nearly ended up late after a go on the WU map. Ended up searching for my number a bit frantically and then straight into the -3 min box.
I was a wee bit flustered then, tried to relax and make sure I got 1 well, but I hit the control in the re-entrant before it. Copped it quick though and only lost ~20 secs.
Small miss in the circle on 6 then kinda lost 20-60 secs each on 9, 10, 11 and 13, mostly due to no paying enough attention. I wasn't using the time on the tracks to read ahead as much as I should have been either.
Good through to the road crossing then and and I had a gel and a nice bit of a rest. I hadn't felt like it was going well up to this point but I was I'd caught my 3 min guy which was a nice mental boost. I let him restart 20 secs ahead of me and then reeled him in straight away.
Got the next two nicely but lost 1 min on 23 when I just ran without a plan. We did hit the path but it seemed vague and I didn't realise. I figured we were too high anyway but he went up and I went down where I got it with a bit of luck.
Fell on the way to 24 and I got winded quite badly. Couldn't breathe and I thought I'd broken a rib or something but I sat down for a minute and it seemed alright. Went a bit slow then up to the control, and I was running with an M18 or 20 all in red for the spectator loop which was a good boost.
I could see Fredrik Eliasson graually gaining on me then too. He went by on the way to 31 and I did a nice bit of following from an ever increasing distance. The other Halden guy came past then and led me to 32. Bonked a bit then and waddled around the last few with a couple of small slips.
