trrail run 45:00 [3] 5.0 mi (9:00 / mi)
shoes: mountain masicist

in milton-freewater, oregon. left from pete's house and headed to a nearby hill, did two laps and ran around town back to pete's. felt pretty sluggish, but was nice to be out.

trrail run 5:15:00 [3] 25.0 mi (12:36 / mi)
shoes: mountain masicist

wildwood trail in forest park. it was a nice sunny day and the family dropped me off at the end of the wildwood trail. I ran backwards on the trail toward the beginning. it was generally dry (though a mildly muddy in parts) wide singletrack with few obstacles. A bit too easy for my tastes, but still a very cool trail. My IT band started flaring up after about 2.5 hours and I alternately ran and walked for the next 2.5 hours until giving up and taking the dogwood trail down to Leif Erickson Drive and getting picked up at the LE trailhead by jeff.

trrail run 45:00 [3] 5.0 mi (9:00 / mi)
shoes: mountain masicist

Did one loop with Joey in Seattle's Discovery Park. We turned off Joey's normal loop at one point and headed down to a beach where there is a water treatment plant. There we ran on the beach for ten minutes, which was sweet. Joey was a fun running partner, though he's still getting used to trail running, it seems. All in the dark, but only neaded headlamps for part of it because of the moon.

trrail run 35:00 [3] 4.0 mi (8:45 / mi)
shoes: la sportivas

short run out thane with goeff before work. felt ok. didn't run all weekend though.

trrail run 2:13:00 [3] 11.5 mi (11:34 / mi)
shoes: fireblades

town to dan moler trail up to bowl with geoff. snow was a bit punchy and i fell through numerous times. didn't feel too good for a bit, then I could really feel my body get relaxed and work out something. I'd guess that not running much after that big run with bryan left my body needing a good run.

alpine touring 2:00:00 [3] 5.0 mi (24:00 / mi)

eaglecrest run (highline) with sean riley's solomons, which were awesome. Went up with rob cadmus, chris the intern, and colin shanley.

trrail run 1:00:00 [3] 5.0 mi (12:00 / mi)
shoes: la sportivas

perseverance run with geoff and misty. only made it up half way due to snow depths and lack of time. nice to get a mid-day run in my first week at SEACC, though. start things off right.

alpine touring 4:30:00 [3] 11.0 mi (24:33 / mi)

eaglecrest west ridge with sean riley, peter flynn, shawn eisle, and Noah the fireman. fun day for sure. I borrowed shawn katama's for the last run and ended up skiing right off a cliff near the end of an awesome run on powder skis for the first time. the cliff was only about 16 feet tall or so, and i slide down part way, so i was fine. shawn's skis had a good gash in them though. bummer. 2 plus feet of powder.

alpine touring 7:30:00 [3] 12.0 mi (37:30 / mi)

grandchild bowl with Sean (the clerk). Tried to head up the ridge but whiteout, lateness, and wind turned us around. I was surprised how uncomfortable I felt heading up that ridge. I guess I'm realizing how much I still have to learn about ski mountaineering.

got some good turns in on some short runs with 5 or so inches of powder.

trrail run 2:50:00 [3] 18.5 mi (9:11 / mi)
shoes: la sportivas

Met up with geezers at bill ray center. Lots of people were there, maybe 15. Went to end of perserverance via cope park and the flume trail. On the way back Bryan Hitchcock and I split off and did three loops on the red mill trail. On the last loop we went back to the end of perserverance and did the glory hole overlook (nice slow and steady climb). On the way back down to town we ran up to the gazebo on the roberts trail (had ambitions to go higher but both our legs gave out, no strength to climb). Felt good and fast most of the day, though with some sections where I felt tired. nice weather. came back and went directly to meet up with Brian Delay to go out to Berners Bay.

With Colin Shanley. Ran over Roberts bump to the end of perserverance and back via the red mill trail. rainy and windy but it turned to snow up at the benches at the end of the trail.
