Strength 30:44 [1]

The usual, except I've got rid of the rests by interlinking exercises and threw in a unicycle abs which is still stupidly hard.

Swimming 25:40 [2] 0.9 km (28:31 / km)
ahr:77 max:88

To the sea today! Seapoint specifically. Waaay colder than Glendalough and very glad of the wetsuit. Loads of people in the water jsut in togs though, hardy people. Got a nice rhythm going with the crawl actually and was kind of able to just keep going. The wetsuit + the sea helps with the floatiness to be fair. Wasn't too cold after, small bit chilly in the hands but blasted the heat in the car and I Was grand.

Met Don and Ruth in Glendalough and got my wetsuit. Went for a swim in the upper lake with Don. Reasonably casual chatting a bit. Water was actually lovely and warm so all of my mittens and hat extra jackets went unused afterwards. Didn't go too far but that's swimming I guess. Nice change and a bit of fun for sure.

Note

In person visit to the physio today. Had to wear a mask, physio had a mask and full plastic gown. I had to sit at the very far end of the room when we were chatting. It's a good thing my quads are a good 1m away from my head otherwise how would she have been able to give me some quads massage.

Left quad still a bit tight, still pain right in the tendon as it goes over the kneecap but getting better.

Still probably another 2 weeks of no running. Cross-trainer would be ideal but where am I going to get one of those? Looks like it might be resort to sea swimming as no pools seem to be open either. Wetsuit has been taken out of the attic and I'll get it at the weekend...

Physio + extras. At least my core is up there with the strongest it's been. Some very wide split squats today and we'll see how the knee is tomorrow. Felt grand at the time as usual.

I've stopped logging this on Strava (or at least set it to private) but it'll mostly still appear here. Have been walking reasonably regularly , though not 60k a week like the other week.

Stillorgan Heath as usual. Knee feeling very good today.

Physio stuff + extras. Stayed away from the things that put pressure on my knee, however lightly.
