Got totally caught out by one route choice in the morning, afternoon better technically but must cope better with distractions and stick to my route choices even when catching people

Glen dye which is a lovely area if you are in the right frame of mind. Given that I couldn't really understand/take in any information from the map I think the only learning from today was if you have a week quite that dire then don't expect to have enough mental energy for a tough long race. Weather also major contrast from my sunny sprint camp, glad to be sticking to sprint
