Saturday Mar 27, 2010 #

Note
slept:3.5 (rest day)

Brilliant night out. I hurt in all sorts of places. Danced the night away and over-indulged a little too much. Got to work, crawled home and had a nap before chillin' with the girls. Good day, body may hopefully be functioning by tomorrow so i can go for a leg stretch :S Hope so anyway...

6 PM

Run warm up/down 20:00 [3] 2.0 mi (10:00 / mi) +25m 9:38 / mi
shoes: X-Talons

Down to intervals, no-one there when we got there, then mick and joan emerged from a car. Guess no one else likes the rain! Drills when we got there. Field = Lake

Run intervals (Corners Pyramid) 27:28 [4] 3.15 mi (8:43 / mi)
ahr:185 max:196 slept:8.0 shoes: X-Talons

Pyramid - 5 - corners of monument, gate and playground. 30s rec after last person back. Reverse direction to keep things entertaining...

Time(mins) / Rec (secs) / Distance (miles):
1. 0.49 / 48 / 0.15
2. 1.50 / 30 / 0.28
3. 2.32 / 50 / 0.36
4. 3.08 / 37 / 0.44
5. 4.26 / 39 / 0.59
4. 3.38 / 38 / 0.50
3. 2.30 / 37 / 0.34
2. 1.39 / 49 / 0.24
1. 0.54 / end / 0.15

Got quite a bit extra rest cos Joan was a bit behind on some. Distances between the corners are not equal hence differences.

Really chuffed with the session as my average pace on the reps was sub 7min/mile :) and I kept the same pace from 3-5-3 corners (~7.15min/mile)

Stretching warm up/down 10:00 [0]
shoes: X-Talons

Usual quick stretching out and warm down at the park. Back feeling a bit squiffed.
7 PM

Run warm up/down 20:30 [3] 2.1 mi (9:46 / mi) +125m 8:14 / mi
ahr:166 max:178 shoes: X-Talons

Back from the park. Soooo muddy! I looked like a pink dalmation...
8 PM

Run warm up/down 4:45 [3] 0.55 mi (8:38 / mi) +10m 8:11 / mi
ahr:155 max:169 shoes: X-Talons

Continuing the warm down by popoing to the shops to pick up dindins. Fail for not having stuff in!

9 PM

Run warm up/down 14:49 [3] 1.63 mi (9:05 / mi) +35m 8:31 / mi
ahr:175 max:188 slept:8.0

Up to Manc Road via Crookesmoor Rd, then back down via S10.

Run (Steady) 20:25 [4] 2.55 mi (8:00 / mi) +65m 7:25 / mi
ahr:183 max:193

Down Fulwood Rd, planning on doing 10-15mins out and beat it back, but didn't fancy coming straight back and got to Gladstone in 7.33 so would have only been 5mins back. Didn't fancy the loop all the way up to Lydgate Lane either so went via the school and back down to Fulwood/Manc rd junction.

Legs felt awesome down hill and could feel the hills from sunday&monday but carried on fine up to Crosspool :)

And it was real training, cos "It's only training if it's raining"! Gorgeous night though and feeling good.

Run 55:00 [3] 5.5 mi (10:00 / mi) +280m 8:38 / mi
ahr:163 max:190 slept:6.5 shoes: X-Talons

Gorgeously WET day out recce-ing. Very very useful:
East route up to CP6 best, North route to CP7 best by a lot.

Run long 1:50:00 [3] 11.0 mi (10:00 / mi) +450m 8:52 / mi
ahr:166 max:189 shoes: X-Talons

Bit of a break some risotto and a mars bar. Awesome long steady run along from roughly CP9-10 and a bit more. checked out Steve's "better" route. It was not. Back along the tow path and mini fight with some geese.

Gorgeous.
