Cycling 25:00 [2] 3.0 mi (7.2 mph) +150m
shoes: Asics 2150B4.5

Physio was bearer of potential bad news - potentially stress fractured my fibula. So off impact, RICEing it etc etc. Heylo pool and bike. Cycled down to blobbies to return the films and pick up a steak for dinner.

Note
(rest day)

Not all rest... placement on H floor so done several laps of the stairs today - good for loosening up, feeling ok, just my toes that want to fall off still. Nvm.

Run race (Robin Hood Marathon) 4:21:00 [5] 26.2 mi (9:58 / mi) +100m 9:51 / mi
ahr:185 max:199 shoes: Asics 2150B4.5

Not bad - set off way to fast for our intended pace. 1/2 marathon completed in <1.55. Buggered self catching up Andy and Em after had to have a wee stop at 6miles - very bad move. seized up a bit at 14miles, then stabby pain in lateral lower calf area at 18miles meant had to stop and stretch it out, again losing Andy and Em. Plodded on at my own pace after that and saw Em at 20miles, Andy was just ahead and carried on, sis was struggling with a possible Hamstring tear. My job was to be her pacemaker so I made her stop and stretch it out, we walked and jogged a little until it eased then had a wave of sickness feeling so we stopped again. I was seizing up more and more and think we were both getting cold from stopping but it was necessary. My calves were ridic. tight so stretching when Em did was good for me too. Took a while to get moving but then we carried on at a fairly decent rate for the state of us for the last 5 miles. Then went straight for some physio massage. I can walk again but my toes want to fall off.
Good day out :)

Trying out new bikes while Neill bought his awesome one. So envious - it is absolutely gorgeous. But yep, gentle turbo training to ease the leggies for tomorrow.

Started along Fulwood Road, kept going to the co-op then thought was time to probably head back as I'd been out 25mins and only meant to be out for 40-45... Turned back along the parks past Forge Dam Cafe and had a nice chat with Hallamshire Tennis Club who were out for a 5km training loop, split from them at the end of Bingham and headed back up under Endcliffe Village, Nibbles, Broomhill, Tapton, School Road cut thru and home. Gorgeous run, legs have finally remembered what to do - only took about 15mins to warm up this time...

4days to go!
