From Ladybower straight up Win Hill, quick check out next control point routes etc. Recce
Route from Win Hill to High Neb -> via road - easy and steady running
Route part two (High Neb back to Ladybower) -> straight line - tougher underfoot, very marshy (today), seriously chuffin windy, more energy used definitely than road and that was going downhill instead of up.
Conclusion: Road is definitely least nav and physical effort.
Near loss of limbs by traps near the end of the descent from Bamford Edge. Watchout for them people!
