Had great fun on the roller ski training course, spent the morning learning skating then the afternoon learning classic. Didn't record the whole lot on my watch as quite a lot of time was spent doing balance exercises and short drills but for the last hour or so of each session we got to see how far we could go down the side of Dorney lake before heading back so turned the watch on then.

We both preferred the skating, I think because we picked it up much quicker, it was really hard to keep the classic rollerskis going paralell. It was however very useful to have someone explain how the motion of classic cross-country skiing should work. My complete lack of upper body strength was rather highlighted when she got us to try double poleing and I got left a looooong way behind.

We're going to do to a day of cross-country when we go to the alps in Feb and have discovered that the Nordic centre at Peisey-Vallandry lets you try out biathlon which sounds like excellent fun.

Dragged myself out of bed to go to spinning, was a hard session but feel great now because I've done my exercise for the day. Legs feel very wobbly afterwards, am going to have to get used to the bike to run transition so might start jumping on a treadmill for 5 min afterwards.

Running 47:15 intensity: (3:09 @1) + (12:26 @2) + (31:03 @3) + (37 @4) 7.42 km (6:22 / km) +160m 5:45 / km
ahr:148 max:162

Run around Battersea park playing with cadence again, did 4x1min at 85rpm, 4x 1min at 90rpm, 3x 1min at 95rpm and 2x 1min at 100rpm, all with 30s rests. 100rpm is officially impossible but 95 was just manageble. Tim did me a 90s disco/europop mix for the warm up and down which kept me entertained. HRM readings look a lot more relliable now I've put a new battery in and also redid my resting HR the other day so tweaked the zones a little.
