Looks like I'm going to end up with very well trained legs, did many varieties of squats, lunges and stepups.

Jogged over to St. James Park then tried to do a tempo run, managed 2km before elbow started really acheing so gave up and jogged back. Looks like I won't be doing the 10K on Sunday, will stick with easy jogging.

I seem to have accidentally fixed my seized elbow! On Monday evening my elbow was fixed at a 90 degree angle, I couldn't straighten it, I couldn't bend it any further. Then, walking around the flat I missed a stair, threw my arms out, managed not to fall but ended up squeeling in pain for the next 10 minutes. Weirdly once the pain subsided I found that I could move my arm, I now have almost a complete range of motion except the very extremes of rotation. Today I had my appointment at the fracture clinic and the consultant was really quite surprised at how much I can move it given the state of my X-rays. In addition to the fracture in my radius there's a small crack at the end of the humerus and I ought to be looking at 6 weeks of physio to get it back in action. As it is she said I was OK to try exercising as long as it doesn't hurn and I rest my arm in the sling as much as possible the rest of the day. So I went for the slowest jog ever over to my sports massage appointment and back again and my arm felt OK, yay :)

Note
(injured)

OK so despite the optimism it turns out I have a radial head fracture. Fortunately I haven't been plastered, just have to wear a sling.
