Venla leg 4. This was soooo much fun. The best bit is that after all my stressing I hardly noticed the length at all! The majority of the time I had a good idea of where I was and most mistakes were just little wobbles. In fact towards the end I started thinking that I probably should be trying to run faster rather than go with my default potter.
I did unfortunately make one mistake of mindbending stupidity, whilst legging it along a path route on the long leg (2-3) I missed a left turn and got a bit confused when I hit a road instead of a major track. Looking back I think I was deep in planning the rest of the course as I ran past the junction and if I didn't fold my map so small I would have actually seen the road on the map when I hit it. Looking at the times I think it cost me 10 min but I'm still pretty pleased with my run as a whole and we all got within our aim of taking less than twice the estimated winners time for our leg.

750m loop in 18:20 felt a bit floundery, never really got into the rhythm propperly. The ammount of water weed seems to be increasing which still causes me minor panic and at one point a guy swimming past and bashed me on the head!

Three 1.5km loops of the lake, forgot my garmin so just used the stop watch and kept HR monitor on from swimming, lap times were 7:46, 8:03, 8:13.

Wormwood Scrubs park race, was well planned and I thoroughly enjoyed it but my legs just didn't feel very sprightly, felt like I should have been moving faster over the whole thing.
