a little better, at the high end of the range, but at least in the range, and ok i guess considering the humidity. Felt pretty good for the first time in a while
coursesetting 3:20:48 [2]
fair hill susquehanna stumble

woods are beautiful even this time of year. Hopefully it will be a fine stumble -- should be fast and furious

Thursday Jul 27

misery loop 2

Tuesday Jul 25

running (trail/XC) 58:47 [3] 10 km (5:53 / km)

worse time by about 3 minutes on this loop. An indication of how beat up I am from illness and alot of racing recently. But it was nice to be back on my mountain.
C • Welcome back. 1

Friday Jul 14

orienteering race 53:05 [3] 4.02 km (13:12 / km)
oo cup slovenia ME day 1

48 line climb to start plus it seemed that much afterward not a bad race, but not helping per k ave

Wednesday Jul 12

orienteering 1:26:00 [3]
more training in slovenia
brutally beautiful map
seem to be over illness

C • Hi 2

Tuesday Jul 11

orienteering 1:10:00 [2]
(sick)
control picking training in slovenia
brutally difficult map

Monday Jul 10

orienteering race 1:39:30 [3] 7.58 km (13:08 / km)
(sick)
hr open day 3 m21e

brutally technical and physical. Had a fantastic race if 12 plus per k and skipping a control can be considered fantastic. Prolly would have been 20 per k 2 years ago. Illness seems to be recovering but still a drag

Sunday Jul 9

orienteering race 59:39 [3] 5.46 km (10:55 / km)
(sick)
hr open m21e day 2 official distance

fine race except for 2 controls ... could say something witty in response to that, but on hotel receptionist computer in some remote village in slovenia

extremely technical and fun course

still sick, and it drags on me
orienteering race 23:04 [4] 2.68 km (8:36 / km)
(sick)
hr open city sprint m21

near perfect race tho some bogo rc, must have been 35 plus degrees still sick

Saturday Jul 8

orienteering race 1:46:47 [3] 10.88 km (9:49 / km)
(sick)
croatia open M21E open day 1 offical distance

still sick, brutally rugged, tho sweet terrain, 5 mins booms

Friday Jul 7

orienteering race 1:24:08 [4] 9.1 km (9:15 / km)
(sick)
wmoc m40 b final offical distance

sick om 2 counts stomach flu and cold virus
should have been top 10
otherwise exceeded expectations at wmoc, yet did much worse than i could have

Wednesday Jul 5

orienteering race 1:20:44 [4] 8.2 km (9:51 / km)
wmoc Q2 M40-1 official distance

missed qualifying by 97 seconds. Still did better than I expected to, but it is still hard to get over the fact that I made 9-10 inutes of mistakes today. I guess I can say -- would it have really meant anything to make 7 minutes of mistakes and still have qualified?

Probably not, tho I know I would have felt alot better right now ...
C • Doh! 1

Tuesday Jul 4

orienteering race 1:06:25 [4] 8.3 km (8:00 / km)
wmoc m40-1 official distance

16/46 when I left. Pretty clean run. Lots of trail running, O was pretty easy. PG called it "technical trail running"

Monday Jul 3

orienteering 22:16 [2] 2.51 km (8:52 / km)
wmoc model

just did the close in controls -- hamstring felt pretty bad

Sunday Jul 2

orienteering race 23:23 [3] 3.4 km (6:53 / km)
WMOC sprint

took it fairly easy; 1 one minute error

Saturday Jul 1

orienteering race 1:11:57 [3] 6.5 km (11:04 / km)
WMOC warmup course 10A

just jumped off the plane, no sleep, food or water and pretty bleary eyed. Not too bad all things considered.
