rain the first 20 minutes or so -- running in the summer rain is one of the more enjoyable activities, and it was disappointing when it stopped

real easy pace -- I'm trying to "taper", I suppose, for a rather intense upcoming race schedule, and my body and pace lately indicate my body is pretty shot. I don't know all that much about tapering, but I suppose it has to do with running slower and less, so I guess that's what I'll do, and hopefully I'll recover to my normal pace
