Saturday Oct 7

orienteering 45:00 [1]
(injured)
naoc middle model

started off running but had moderate pain so walked
orienteering race 42:15 [2] 4.48 km (9:26 / km)
(injured)
naoc middle official distance

goal was 41:30, ran 42:15. I generally enjoy this sort of thing -- difficult orienteering. Was technically solid except for hosing 10 for a fairly big number, perhaps 2-3 minutes, also missed a couple of others for small numbers.

Pain was severe right out of the triangle. Though about quitting, but it wasn't getting worse. Actually abated at #10, as there was some rest in the slower relocation process.

Morale is down -- I'm done for the weekend, most likely done for the Highlander. Hopefully will be 100% for the DVOA A meet, I love that terrain.

Friday Oct 6

orienteering 13:00 [1]
(injured)
naoc sprint model

knee started hurting after 3:45 at 2 pace so I walked
orienteering race 19:55 [3] 3.1 km (6:25 / km)
(injured)
naoc sprint offical time and distance (my watch showed 8 seconds difference, as did eddies)

got thru it, no mistakes, but perhaps hosed a couple route choices. Moderate pain; abated somewhat later in the course
