Swimming race 33:47 [5] 1.5 km (22:31 / km)

Self Transcendence Olympic tri

Bills itself as the friendliest triathlon in Canada. Small low key race with great post race food. Two Olympic waves of 100 people each. Ended up beating a team mate by 2 seconds yet never seeing him because of the wave start.

At some point, I have to stop complaining about having a bad swim and just accept I'm a bad swimmer.

Transition race 1:05 [5] 0.01 km (1:48:20 / km)

Seemed longer than that.

Riding race 1:14:29 [5] 40.0 km (1:52 / km) +472m 1:46 / km
ahr:137 max:150

The "Sri" course is rolling and hilly. Not the fastest course and hard to get in the aero bars for an extended period of time.

Wore the heart rate monitor for this race which I don't normally do.

Transition race 36 [5] 0.01 km (1:00:00 / km)

Running race 44:56 [5] 10.0 km (4:30 / km) +83m 4:19 / km
ahr:152 max:176 shoes: Zoot Ultra OVWA

Run was good. Felt like I pushed hard early but held it together well. Wanted to run sub 45 which is hard on this trail with lots of twists.

Shoes are starting to get worn out, getting blisters started each run now.

Didn't feel great, a moderately hot day but was ringing out the clothes by the end. Get 'er done day.
